Equip Resource Solutions · 501(c)(3) NonprofitEmpowering Individuals · Strengthening Communities · Building Brighter Futures
ERS removes barrier between a person and a career — wrapping scholarship funding, resources related to transportation, food, housing, and case management around fast-track healthcare training and job placement.
Every year, thousands of individuals want to build better futures, but doors remain closed. The cost of training, the lack of transportation, and even the inability to afford food or uniforms can stop them before they even begin.
These barriers don't just hold back individuals — they weaken the workforce and the communities we all rely on. That's where ERS comes in. By serving as the bridge between partners and communities, we help remove barriers and build pathways to education, employment, and community growth.
Explore Our ProgramsERS wraps scholarship funding, transportation, food, housing, and case management around learners — removing every barrier between a person and a career.
Step 1 — Remove the Barriers
Funding tuition, certification fees, and enrollment costs for qualifying students.
Connecting students with transportation resources so they can show up and succeed.
Multilingual support so language is never a barrier to learning.
Food assistance so learners can stay focused on their education.
Connecting students facing instability with housing resources and referrals.
Individualized support — tracking progress and removing obstacles at every step.
Connecting graduates to employer partners and job opportunities in their field.
Financial literacy, life-skills training, and wellness resources beyond the classroom.
Helping parents access child care resources so family responsibilities never stand in the way of education.
Affiliated Training Partner
ERS-supported students gain access to fast-track, affordable healthcare certification programs through our affiliated training partner. Programs are designed to be completed in under six months, giving students a clear, achievable path to employment.
Affiliated Workforce Partner
Once certified, ERS graduates are connected to employer partners and job placement support through our affiliated workforce partner. This connection turns training into lasting careers and strengthens the local workforce.
From healthcare training to employer pipelines, our approach is designed to create immediate impact and long-term opportunity.
Without reliable transportation or affordable child care, showing up to training — let alone work — becomes an impossible daily challenge for many families.
The cost of education and certification programs puts careers out of reach for those who need them most. ERS works to remove that financial barrier through scholarships and wraparound support.
When basic needs like food and stable housing aren't met, focusing on education and building a career becomes nearly impossible.
"ERS removed the roadblocks. I earned my certification and started working within weeks. It changed everything for my family."
Together with employers, educators, and community leaders, we're removing barriers and creating lasting opportunity.

Equip Resource Solutions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by an ecosystem of affiliated organizations — each playing a distinct role in removing barriers and creating opportunity. ERS focuses solely on the learner: funding, resources, and wraparound support so no one has to choose between basic needs and a better future.
ERS operates a downtown San Diego facility designed to bring community education to life — where vocational learning happens in person, and where the long-term vision is a student-led, no-cost community clinic.
Our downtown facility is purpose-built for hands-on vocational learning. Currently supporting entry-level medical training, it serves as a living classroom where students gain real skills in a real environment.
Our long-term vision is a no-cost community clinic — where students who need clinical experience meet residents who need care. Together, we are building healthy communities by helping people and businesses thrive.
From medical assistant training to future expanded programs, the Learning Lab is designed to grow with the community — offering affordable, accessible pathways to in-demand careers right in the heart of San Diego.
Featured Collaboration
ERS has been selected by Heart2Serve Institute as an alternate training location — a recognition of our facility's capacity to support quality healthcare education and our shared commitment to serving communities with purpose.
This is what it looks like when a community invests in its people. Real students. Real labs. Real careers.

The Equip Human Solutions Career Skills Lab, donated by CVS Health, is led by a pharmacist who knows firsthand what it means to start with nothing. As a struggling immigrant, she built her career one step at a time — and now she's giving that same opportunity to others in her community.
Through this collaboration with CVS Health®, she brings real-world pharmacy expertise into our downtown San Diego Equip Human Solutions Career Skills Lab — training students in a fully simulated environment and connecting them directly to careers that change lives. Come learn from an industry leader holding a Master's in Clinical Research.

"Way to go, Abu!"
Abu began his journey as a Patient Care Technician with a large local hospital system — and as a recipient of a collaborative scholarship, he's taken his impact even further. He recently passed his NHA exam and is now a nationally certified Clinical Medical Assistant, ready to serve even more patients. We couldn't be prouder.
